About Scrub Money

What is Scrub Money?

Scrub Money began during the early wave of DeFi, when many projects were built around experimental token models and strong financial incentives. Its original model struggled as market conditions changed, leaving the project in need of a new direction.

The current team took over with the aim of stabilising the project and building a more practical foundation. The focus shifted from token speculation towards working products, while maintaining continuity for the community that had stayed with Scrub through its difficult first phase. Rebuilding confidence became a gradual process of delivering, listening to users and continuing development through changing markets.

That approach led to prediction platforms, ecommerce services offering Amazon and other digital gift cards, and gaming applications. These products connected the ecosystem to uses beyond token trading. Each initiative added technical experience, infrastructure and feedback that helped shape the next stage of development.

Support from Kava, through a grant, added external ecosystem backing to that work. Alongside this support, Scrub continued returning value to its community: across its initiatives, approximately $300,000 has been distributed through LION and TIGER tokens and grants within the Kava ecosystem.

The vault products build on that experience. Today, Scrub Money offers a delta-neutral funding strategy and trading farm vaults on selected perpetual DEXs, with additional venues considered as opportunities emerge. They represent the next stage of an ecosystem that has developed through several products and market cycles.

This history gives the current offering context: a team that took responsibility for an existing project, continued building and developed lasting relationships with its community. Scrub’s expansion follows the same approach: putting experience from earlier products to work as new opportunities arise.

How do the two types of vault differ?

The delta-neutral vault uses offsetting long and short positions to earn funding income while reducing exposure to market direction. Depositors receive 15% APR, credited daily and auto-compounded.

Trading farm vaults use directional trading to build volume and earn venue points, with the aim of maximising exposure to potential airdrops. Trading can produce gains or losses, with no set APR. The farm vaults are currently live on Arcus and RISEx.

See Compare the vaults for a side-by-side comparison.

Deposits and withdrawals

What do I need to deposit?

Connect your wallet to the Scrub Money app and select a vault. The delta-neutral vault accepts USDC on Arbitrum. For farm vaults, check the supported network shown in the app. Confirm the network and minimum deposit before sending funds.

When does my deposit become active?

When it converts into vault shares. Pending deposits do not earn until that conversion is complete.

Farm deposits convert at the next valuation, usually within minutes. The capital then joins the trading account when the strategy next has no open positions.

Is there a limit on deposits?

The delta-neutral vault has no deposit cap. Farm vaults have individual caps: deposits close when a vault is full and reopen when space becomes available. The app displays the minimum deposit for each vault.

How long does a withdrawal take?

Vault Withdrawal timing
Delta-neutral Eligible for processing seven days after your request; payout is sent once processing is complete.
Trading farm After a short on-chain delay, paid automatically the next time the strategy has no open positions.

Processing may include necessary trade closures and transfers from the venue.

Do my shares keep earning while I wait?

No. Shares included in a withdrawal request stop earning when you submit it. Farm shares also stop accumulating share-days for points allocation at that point.

How is my withdrawal amount calculated?

Your payout is based on the shares redeemed and the share price when payment is processed. A $1 withdrawal fee is deducted from the payout.

For the delta-neutral vault, the gross withdrawal value must exceed $1 to cover the fee.

What should I do if a withdrawal is still pending?

Check its status in the app. It may be within the waiting period, awaiting trade closures or undergoing a transfer from the venue. Contact support if you need help with a specific request.

Returns, fees and rewards

Where does the delta-neutral vault’s 15% APR come from?

It comes from the vault’s funding strategy. The strategy has delivered 15% APR to depositors for over a year, with returns credited daily and auto-compounded. Scrub Money retains the additional returns generated by the strategy.

APR expresses the annualised rate before compounding. Auto-compounding reinvests your earnings without a manual claim. Past returns do not guarantee future performance.

What fees does Scrub Money charge?

Item Delta-neutral vault Trading farm vaults
Deposit fee $1 $1
Mint fee None 0.25% on new deposits, paid to Scrub Money
Withdrawal fee $1 $1
Performance fee None 10% of profit above the high-water mark
Scrub Money’s share of venue points and resulting airdrop rewards Not applicable 30%; depositors receive 70%

The $1 deposit fee is deducted from your deposit in the deposit transaction. Trading farm vaults also apply a 0.25% mint fee on new deposits, paid to Scrub Money when vault shares are issued. The $1 withdrawal fee is deducted from your withdrawal when the payout is processed. Your wallet also pays network gas for its own transactions.

The delta-neutral vault has no annual management fee. Its revenue model is the additional funding returns retained by Scrub Money, as described above.

Can the terms and fees change?

Scrub Money reserves the right to change vault terms, fees and points or reward allocations at any time. Venue programmes are governed by each venue’s own terms.

What is the high-water mark?

It is the level of vault performance above which new profits become eligible for a performance fee. If the vault falls in value and then recovers, that recovery is not charged again. The 10% fee applies only to new profit above the level already charged.

Scrub Money receives this fee in vault shares that remain invested. See How the performance fee works.

How is my share of points calculated?

Your allocation depends on how many shares you hold and for how long, measured in share-days. For example, 1,000 shares held for 10 days contribute 10,000 share-days. Your portion is calculated relative to the other depositors in the same vault.

Arcus and RISEx have separate reward allocations. Read Points and airdrop rewards for the full explanation.

When will points become airdrop rewards?

Each venue decides whether to award an airdrop and sets its timing, amount and eligibility rules. Scrub Money does not set that schedule, and points do not guarantee a reward. The delta-neutral vault does not earn venue points.

Security and support

Who holds and trades the funds?

Funds deployed for trading are held at the venue in an account operated by Scrub Money. Vault contracts record your share ownership and the applicable rules. See Security and custody for more detail.

Can the vault contracts be updated?

Yes. They are upgradeable, allowing fixes and updates without moving users to new contracts. Updates can also change the contract rules.

Who can use Scrub Money?

Use is limited to jurisdictions where it is permitted. Venue points programmes may have additional regional restrictions.

Where can I get help?

Use the channels listed on Official links and support for questions about a deposit, withdrawal or vault position.
